Frequently Asked Questions
-
How much does event photography cost?
Quotes for event photography coverage are based on the length of coverage, image delivery timeframe, and event location. Event coverage starts from £395. Please get in touch with as much detail as possible for an accurate, tailored quote. If you’re working to a specific budget, feel free to let me know — I’m always happy to see what’s possible.
-
Is editing included?
All images are professionally edited to ensure consistent colour, exposure, and contrast, while maintaining true-to-life tones with a subtle filmic quality. The result is polished, natural, and timeless photos without over-processing. If your project requires advanced retouching or specific stylistic edits, this can be provided as an optional extra.
-
How many images will we receive?
This can vary depending on the scale and nature of the event, but as a general guide, clients typically receive around 70 edited images per hour of coverage.
-
How can we use the photographs?
All bookings include a licence for unlimited personal use, internal business use, press/editorial use and organic PR.
If you require images for advertising, large-scale campaigns or paid marketing, I can provide extended licensing.
Under UK copyright law, I retain the copyright but you’re licensed to use the images as needed — you only pay for the usage you require. -
When will we receive our photos?
Standard delivery for fully edited, high-quality images is within 48 hours, and this is included with all event coverage. If you need images more quickly, rush editing options are available, including:
A selection of up to 20 key images delivered the same day or by the following morning
On-site live edits for immediate social media sharing
Full gallery delivery by the following morning (subject to availability)
For longer events (over four hours), delivery times may be slightly extended to ensure consistent quality. Please get in touch to discuss turnaround options and pricing.
-
Is travel included in the price?
Travel within London is included in your quote. If your event is outside London, fees are based on distance and travel time.
-
How do we book and pay?
Once you’ve shared your event details, I’ll confirm my availability and provide a quote. If you’re happy to proceed, I’ll send over a simple contract to secure your date and time.
For bookings made well in advance, a portion of the fee may be required upfront. Payment is made securely via bank transfer (BACS), and all invoices include full details for your records.
-
What if we need to cancel or postpone?
Once your booking is confirmed (via a signed contract), cancellations are subject to a fee of 50% of the agreed total to reflect time reserved and potential loss of other work. All cancellations must be made in writing.
If you need to reschedule, I’ll do my best to accommodate a new date. If I’m unavailable, the booking will be treated as a cancellation and the 50% fee will apply.
-
How do you deliver the photos?
Your images are delivered via a private online gallery, which is open for downloads by default. You can download both high-resolution and social-media-ready files, and share the gallery with your team, agency, or guests.
If needed, galleries can be password-protected and downloads restricted to specific users — ideal for corporate or confidential events.
-
Can you photograph both candid and posed images?
Yes. I specialise in natural, documentary-style coverage, but I also capture posed groups, award presentations, branding moments and any formal shots you need.
-
Can you work with a shot list or brief?
Absolutely. If you have must-have shots, key people, branding elements or scheduled moments, I’ll make sure they’re captured.
If you don’t have a shot list, don’t worry — I’m experienced in covering events naturally and comprehensively. -
Do you have insurance?
Yes — I’m fully insured with public liability cover up to £10 million. If your venue requires documentation in advance, I’m happy to provide it.
